Midi Thru not possible?

Does the IN/OUT midi not actually function as Midi Thru? I moved the jumpers (I have the Mk3 Expander) as per the Wiki site to change from two Midi IN connections, and the front panel is set correctly (ReceiveThru), but no midi is sent from the IN/OUT.

I'm controlling the HX3 with my XK-3 but wanted to sent midi to my computer to control other sounds. Meanwhile I can do it via my MidiSport box but I was curious as to why I can't get Midi Thru to work on the HX3. Anyone on the Forum done this?

MIDI through should be enabled when jumpers on PL10 (left to MIDI jacks) are in 1-2 and 4-5 position (1 is leftmost) and MIDI option is set to "RecveThru" by MenuPanel or HX3 Remote. If not, you encountered a bug or a board defect. Might be a bug due to frequent work on MIDI ScanCore. I did not track this, because no one ever requested a MIDI THRU.

I definitely put the jumpers in the correct place and set the front panel correctly but nothing is passed through the IN/OUT connector. If you get time maybe you could check if this is a bug in the ScanCore? I'm sure others will want this feature if possible.

The latest FW 392 update is excellent and it's difficult to think of anything else that can improve the sound of the HX3. However, I'd still love to have a working Midi Thru connection. In other words IN to the HX3 from my XK3 (so operating the HX3 normally) and then using the Midi IN/OUT connection to take the same XK3 midi signal to another module (or my computer, of course). This is standard on most modules/keyboards. As noted in my previous comments I already changed the jumpers but no Midi Thru results.

Has anyone else tried this, or could someone else out there give it a try?

Wenn sowas häufiger auch für andere Zwecke benötigt wird
warum nicht das Keyboard um einen zweiten MIDI OUT erweitern ?

Die rechte MIDI Buchse ist die im Gerät vorhandene.
Einer der beiden 220 Ohm Widerstände ist mit + 5 Volt verbunden.
Der andere geht über den 220 Ohm Widerstand zum Rechner der die MIDI Signale bereitstellt.
Hier wird dann über einen 100 Ohm Widerstand das Signal auf zwei in Reihe geschaltete INVERTER geführt
und von deren Ausgang über einen 220 Ohm Widerstand zur zweiten MIDI OUT Buchse. Der andere Pin der
MIDI OUT Buchse wird ebenfalls über 220 Ohm mit + 5 Volt verbunden
Ob man nun einen 6fach Inverter 4069 benutzt oder einen 4011 ist völlig egal.
Um das 4011 IC zb vollständig auszunutzen kann man noch einen weiteren MIDI OUT damit realisieren.

This looks interesting and I might give it a try. At the moment I use a Midisport box but I'd hoped to have less boxes attached! Does this mean that the HX3 IN/OUT connector cannot function as Midi Thru? If so, could it in the future?

As I understand the Jumpers You can chose between second MIDI IN and MIDI OUT.
Specially of function MIDI OUT You can choose in REMOTE what should be send.
But it´s different between expander version and buildt in organ with own keys directly connected

wenn wir hier grad bei midi sind, ist es richtig, das das Midi out Signal keine Schwellerinfo weitergibt?, bei meinen Masterkeyboards ist das so
