HX3 with DMC-122

I’m trying to marry HX3 module with my new GSi DMC-122 controller. Latest HX firmware 3.851.
GSi recommends the use of Hamichord setup (Hamichord.dmc) with HX3:
“GSi DMC-122 SetUp for Hamichord compatible devices. This is a SetUp to be loaded into your GSi DMC-122 that makes it compatible with the Hamichord / Crumar Mojo MIDI Mapping. It is intended to control an Hamichord EXP-Edition or the KeyboardPartner.de HX3 Expander (with Hamichord map enabled)”
So I downloaded that setup from their page and imported in DMC-122. Then I changed the default setup of HX3 to be Hamichord. The problem is that the CC:s are far from functional as they should be, quite unusable in fact.
I did not try this before the last HX3 firmware upgrade, so I don’t know if that is the reason.
So I ask if other HX3 users have this same combination, and what your experiences have been?
Another question: which is easier, to edit the setup in GSI editor, or in HX3 editor? I think GSi. So maybe not a big deal.
