I am thinking of getting either the board or the module for my hammond xb3.

Is the board delivered with the cable?
Or - Is the board now delivered with a usb interface?

Is having the display worth the extra 200 euros?

I guess you could add the scanboards to the xb3 and rip out the old xb3 boards at a later point if I want to lower the latency?

The board does have the mini USB interface built in. Cable should be included - it was with my last Expander order. Others on this board could comment on retrofits. I've been using my midi Expander with several different controllers.

If HX 3 Board only ordered there is the USB Interface ( regard the chip ) an option which can be connected to the Board.
In Expander this USB Interface is integrated.

A separate USB Interface is not needed when You connect the Extension Board to HX 3 mainboard
The Extensionboard contains this USB Interface.

The optional Menuedisplay is needed to make several tuning options and constellations of the jacks ( Routing) incl save them easier possible.
