How to access preset in Custom MIDI CC?

I am having trouble figuring out how to use the "Lower Preset" and "Upper Preset" in MIDI Custom CC. When I assign a button or knob to the either function, it registers a data entry on my expander module, but doesn't help to access presets. I've noticed if I assign it to a knob, it changes the preset to "0", no matter what preset it was on before. I have tried assigning it to a toggle switch with a set "on" and "off" value as well, which doesn't work.
Has anyone figured out how to do this? All the other functions I've tried in the MIDI Custom CC I have been able to implement.

I am hopeful that someone has experience with assigning upper and lower manual presets in Custom MIDI CC. No matter what value I set a upper or lower preset button to (between 0 and 127), it seems to set the preset to 15. Pressing the button on or off only seems to change two drawbars, and keep the preset selection at 15. Am I doing something incorrectly, or is there a glitch in the firmware? I am using the Expander Module Plexi mk3 3,721
Thanks,
Mike

On MIDI ch 1 (upper), MIDI PgChange will select HX3 Presets 0 to 15. PgChange to #16 will select HX3 Preset 0 again etc. ("overflow"), as only 16 presets are permitted. Bank switching is ignored.
For now, MIDI PgChange on MIDI ch 2 (lower) will change both upper and lower HX3 presets. This will be changed in FW 3.8 to lower presets only.
Assigning a MIDI CC controller to access presets (413, 414) will not work, as the CC value 0..127 would be scaled to HX3 preset range 0 to 15.

Carsten,
Thank you for your reply. I understand now.
Are there any plans to implement a way to use the Upper and Lower Preset functions in MIDI custom CC in a future firmware release? For example, to make a CC value of 0 = Preset 0, and a CC value of 127 = Preset 15.
Thanks,
Mike

This would be a strange behaviour, disregarding MIDI standards. Anyway, I updated the MIDI CC routines, maybe you have luck with them.
